Job summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Practitioner role to join the Learning & Development team in Corporate Services at Northumbria Healthcare Foundation Trust.
This managerial role will lead the development of our people throughout their learning journey, coordinating activities and projects linked to induction & on-boarding, core statutory & mandatory training, appraisal & personal development and technology enhanced learning.
The role is crucial in influencing the compliance of staff with training which ensures the safety of our patients and staff. Data analysis will be a key skill for the individual, as well as them being a good communicator and decision maker.
The technology enhanced learning element of the service is extremely exciting and the team are continuously looking at ways in which we can develop staff through e-learning, simulation and automation. We are currently implementing a new learning management system, so they will have an important role to play within this project. This role therefore requires good technical knowledge, project management skills and a will to learning and grow skills for themselves and the people around them.
The role will have leadership and management responsibilities for a team of people, to support their performance, development and day-to-day needs.
Main duties of the job
To provide and support the best development for our people.
To source and manage the funding, promotion, procurement and Implementation of arange of people development projects.
To ensure the provision and co-ordination of efficient and effective programmes, activitiesand projects to support the organisations strategy and aspirations.
To contribute to the formulation, agreement and delivery of HR and clinical developmentstrategies by providing a high quality people development service for the organisation.
To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership by engaging, enabling andempowering others; using coaching to promote ownership of learning and qualityimprovement; and facilitating team working and collaboration across organisational boundaries.
