Job summary
Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to work within Kyloe House Secure Children's Home near Morpeth, Northumberland. This is an exciting new post which will be ideal for someone wanting to provide high quality health promotion and a proactive health care service, which will enhance the health and wellbeing of young people in Kyloe House Secure Children's Home.
Main duties of the job
You will need to have knowledge of the public health needs of these young people and be able to deliver clinical care, contributing to the delivery of immunisations, health assessments and health screening in relation to promoting healthy lifestyles.
We need an individual who has determination and a desire to be part of something new. We want creativity, innovative ideas and passion towards providing excellent healthcare for the young people within Kyloe House.
We are looking for someone who can communicate and collaborate in an engaging way with young people. We want some who can maintain emotional resilience and remain child-centred in the face of challenging behaviour. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills are a must as you will be working in an environment where creativity on increasing engagement with young people in their health choices is vital.
We are looking for someone who can ensure the Trust meets its responsibilities to the young people within Kyloe House by supporting the Lead Nurse to meet the health needs in line with the Healthcare Standards for children and young people in secure settings. We want someone with good professional practice who wants to make a difference to these young people's long-term health outcomes.
This role is based within Kyloe House Secure Children's Home, working closely alongside Northumberland County Council (NCC) and Cumbria, Newcastle, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) staff.
