Job summary

We are looking for a hard working individual to join our busy Ward Clerk team based on the Birthing Centre at NSECH.

The post will cover Pregnancy Assessment Unit, Ward 16 and Birthing Centre within the Birthing Department at NSECH.

Main duties of the job

To provide a reception service, acting as first point of contact on the telephone or face to face, for patients, visitors and other healthcare professionals.

To facilitate good communication with other wards and departments involved in patient care or ward/departmental functioning

To input data regarding all admissions, transfers and discharges onto Patient Administration System.

To provide an efficient administration and clerical service to unit staff, visitors and patients
