Job summary

There is an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner with minor injury and illness skills to work within a team of Emergency Nurse Practitioners and Healthcare Assistants in our Minor Injuries Unit at Berwick Infirmary.

We are looking for an autonomous practitioner who is able to work independently treating a varied group of patients. We promote a culture of inclusive leadership and are keen to continually develop our staff.

If you do not hold all the desirable skills for the post i.e. Clinical skills, minor injuries/ailment and Independent prescribing there may be an opportunity to join as a Band 6 trainee to work toward achieving a Band 7.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide clinical expertise and practice autonomously in the absence of medical cover.
  • Provide skilled and knowledgeable care and advice to patients and their carers.
  • Complete assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation of direct care to patients.
  • Work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team

  • D32/33/34 NVQ Assessor
