Job summary
CCNP level Network Architect engineer to be an expert advisor to a Technical Architecture team and Network Infrastructure team responsible for the design, implementation, expansion and support of a two county, mainly Cisco network.
We have an ambitious network infrastructure refresh programme and refresh requirements of campus LAN, wireless, and integration, and are looking for a self starter, highly motivated, collaborative individual to join the team in achieving our service goals, objectives and delivering.
The role has a blend of flex working, in-office and home working. Your work base will be at the new Innovation Hub in Seaton Delaval which offers new, modern, 2022-refurbished offices, and the Trust offers a range of employee services including car lease, child care discounts, cycle to work schemes, home electronics, an NHS pension scheme and other staff benefits.
Main duties of the job
Be an SME for best practice network design, and be able to collaboratively design strategy for the Trusts various category sites, from Acute hospitals requiring extremely high levels of availability, through to smaller care settings, equally of uptime importance.
Extensive wifi expansion and services that run over that protocol, from frequency Ekahau analysis, through to dual point wifi ambitions and implementation and maintenance.
Designing the L2 and L3 elements of networking together with WAN handoff in 2023, replacing designs and equipment.
Be part of an expert Technical Architecture and Infrastructure team with a broad portfolio of objectives, designing and defining the infrastructure strategy.
