We have a fixed term band 5 position within our acute team to support a maternity leave for 12 months and welcome applications from newly qualified to experienced Dietitians. This post will focus on adult clinical dietetics with a varied and interesting caseload of both in and out-patient work. Main duties of the job
You will join our friendly and experienced team of Dietitians, Dietetic Assistant Practitioners (DAPs), Dietetic Assistants (DAs) and Nutrition Nurse Specialists who are based across the trust. You will support our acute adult clinical team by covering a variety of wards and general outpatient clinics which may be virtual, face to face, telephone and domiciliary.
We are a large department with over 50 staff across several teams: acute, diabetes, paediatrics, community, adult weight management, home enteral feeding, public health and admin, predominately based between the 3 main sites. This post will sit within the acute adult team although we can offer the opportunity to gain experience by shadowing the other teams.
We take A, B and C students from across the North East and North Cumbria partnership and all staff are encouraged to take part in student training - support will be provided for the successful applicant.
