Job summary

An exciting opportunity has risen within the Emergency Surgery and Elective Care Business Unit for two Business Unit Support Managers. You will work with the Operational Service Managers (OSM's) in delivering a high quality service for patients while advancing staff development and performance.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role include:

  • To provides support to line managers and employees under supervision across a range of activities, supporting effective leadership, management, co-ordination and control of a defined area within the directorate at an operational level.
  • To actively support the Assistant OSM's, OSM's, General Manager's (GM's) and Deputy Directors within the Business Unit in the leadership and development of clinical and support services.
  • Delivers a comprehensive range of projects and provides advice and support to managers and staff on the achievement of objectives within both the Business Unit and the Trust.
  • Assist in reviewing performance, tracking patients on cancer and Referral to Treatment pathways and validating Patient Treatment Lists (PTL's)
