At the heart of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's ambitious Digital Strategy is the provision of high-quality data to support intelligence-led decision making. This role is key to the delivery of this strategy through the development of our OpenPredictor model which is applying data science and machine learning to historical data on surgical outcomes to produce individualised patient risk profiles.
Main duties of the job
As a senior member of the Data Integration Team within our Information Services department, you will:
- Identify, process, map and transform data from relevant systems to support the development of the machine learning model
- Understand data provenance and identify suitability for use
- Have an awareness of the challenges and opportunities that healthcare data present
- Document data sources used within the model to support roll-out to other areas

- An honours degree in a subject with a substantial numerate content
- o Specialist knowledge and expertise in Information & Performance Management reporting, equivalent to postgraduate degree level, acquired through significant experience in an information analysis role, preferably in an NHS Trust.
