Elsdon Avenue Surgery are looking for a Salaried GP from 6 to 8 Sessions per week to join our well-established practice within Seaton Delaval and who are part of Northumbria Primary Care.
Elsdon Avenue is a teaching practice who take great pride in developing our future work force, medical students, nursing students and the continued development of all staff. We are a friendly small practice who have regular team meetings and catch-up time to promote an inclusive family atmosphere and work closely to foster an open, transparent & positive work culture. Seaton Delaval is a village close to the Northumberland coast only 5 miles from Whitley Bay and 9 miles from Newcastle. The surgery is within walking distance of local shops and Seaton Delaval Hall which is a National Trust property.
Elsdon Avenue is a small practice with a list size of 4080. We have four GP's, two nurses and a healthcare working within the practice. We also have the clinical support unit supporting medicines management and medication requests; a physicians associate, a health and wellbeing coach and mental health practitioner. We have a well established administrative team and practice lead. We run an appointment system offering 15 minute appointments as standard.
Main duties of the job
As a GP practice part of Northumbria Primary Care, we work with flexibility and independence to run the surgery based on what is best for our patients and staff, and additionally we have the regular and consistent support of the management team to help us to focus on what is clinically important.
As a Salaried GP the post holder will be a key clinician within the team at Elsdon Avenue. A job plan will be agreed with you, the post holder, who will provide general medical services and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting.
