This is an exciting opportunity for a job within our expanding Urology Department which we hope to become a Centre of Excellence in the future and further training and development opportunities may develop within the service. We are a growing department and have 13 Urologists , an inpatient ward and out patients unit. We will be opening opening a diagnostics unit where LATP - Local Anaesthetic Trans Perineal biopsies will take place, Flexible Cystoscopies ,Lithotripsy and developing a Urology Assessment unit - to see assess treat and discharge patients or decide to admit patients.
This unit together is working collaboratively to ensure the patient is the centre of our service and receives the best care , in a timely manner and with highly skilled nurses running this department.
Additional working pattern details: 41.5 hours in total available to recruit to, full/ part-time available.

Main duties of the job
- To deliver safe person centred care within a changing environment ,using equipment and resources safely and as appropriate. This will include supporting the management of LATP/Flexible Cystoscopy / Lithotripsy procedures and an emergency Urology Assessment unit as a team .This role will involve rotation within the unit and allocation of specific clinics/assessment areas with training and support.
- To train and gain competencies in aspects of investigative procedures adhering to policies , procedures and guidelines.
- To assist and support the patient during procedures being carried out in the unit , monitoring vital signs and reporting, preparing and supporting patients for procedures and ensuring the patient's experience is optimized by kindness respect and empathy.
