Admissions Supervisor - Band 4 Trauma and Orthopaedics

Job summary

To supervise the team of Admissions Coordinators within the Elective Admissions Department across Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospital. This post holder will support the team to achieve the current RTT target. They will be required to liaise with theatre staff, ward sisters and the pre-assessment department. The post holder will be responsible for theatre utilisation, ensuring all theatre capacity is fully utilised.This role will supervise the team, supporting with the booking of patients in to theatre lists for surgical procedures. The post holder will be responsible for the authorisation of annual leave, recording sickness where necessary.

The post holder will also be responsible for validation of patient pathways using various reports and support the Lead Coordinator and Assistant General Manager.

Main duties of the job

- Supervising a team of 7 staff.

- Process cancellations and re-appoint patients whilst adhering to targets

- Fully utilise all theatre and clinic capacity

- To liaise with our elective ward regarding bed capacity

- Validation of all patients pathways

- To check and update reports weekly
