As Radiology General Manager, you will work closely with the Radiology Services Manager and Clinical Lead to deliver key objectives:

Main duties of the job
In this role, you will:
- Provide day-to-day operational leadership across multiple imaging modalities
- Support the Radiology Services Manager and Clinical Lead in delivering the Trust-wide strategic vision for imaging
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams to ensure high performance and a positive workplace culture
- Oversee service performance, capacity planning and delivery against key targets
- Support budget management and ensure the best use of resources
- Drive quality governance, safety and continuous improvement
- Lead and contribute to transformation programmes, including digital optimisation, pathway redesign and service expansion

The Radiology department is based across the 2 sites of Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital, whilst supporting an NHS managed Community Diagnostic Centre, and our partner trust - Gloucestershire Health & Care in providing Radiology services within the community hospitals.
The departments are busy, delivering over 120,000 CT scans, 37,000 MRI scans, 220,000 X-rays and 3,000 Interventional Radiology examinations across all sites in 24/25.

- Lead the operational delivery of Radiology services across all sites, ensuring safe, timely and highquality care as directed by the Radiology Services Manager and Clinical Lead
- Oversee daytoday service performance, capacity planning, waiting list management and achievement of national imaging standards, in particular the Diagnostic 6 week wait, 18 week RTT and 28/31/62 day cancer diagnosis and treatment standards
- Provide visible leadership to multidisciplinary teams, building strong relationships with clinical colleagues, support services and external partners.
- Line manage service and deputy managers, supporting talent development, wellbeing and team resilience.
- Oversight of administration teams and processes across the service line
- Lead service redesign, improvement projects and digital initiatives aligned with Trust strategy.
- Supporting budgetary management, workforce planning, and resources to ensure efficiency and value for money.
- Maintain compliance with governance, risk, quality and regulatory frameworks.
- Contribute to divisional planning, strategic development and Trustwide initiatives, including the Service Line annual business plan, alongside the Radiology Services Manager and Clinical Lead

- Degree level education or equivalent professional experience
- Management or Leadership qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
