Gloucestershire Hospital Foundation Trust are modernising it Medical Rostering with the implementation of a new digital workforce rostering system.
To implement a new way of working and change culture at the Trust, GHFT are piloting a Core Rota Team to demonstrate the feasibility of a centralised approach to improve consistency and quality for our doctors and ultimately patients.

Main duties of the job
Oversee the administrative duties of rotas assigned to the post holder
Monitoring of rota communications
Shifts changes where required
Monitoring system for updated on ETWD and clinical compliance where change occur
Shift Swap request (where compliant)
Request shifts for temporary staffing
Monitor and action the Core Rota inbox
Handling general rota enquiries
Report any non-compliant leave requests
Logging of sickness absence and supporting the department to gap fill
Writing rotas for publication within an acceptable lead up time
Publication of shifts through temporary staffing where required
Work in direct collaboration with the Medical Rostering and Medical Temporary Staffing teams to ensure a joined up approach

Key Knowledge and Experience
The post holder will form part of the Core Rota Team, playing a critical role in the smooth running of rota administration across the trust through all medical divisions and departments.
This role will have direct engagement with clinical management and doctors at all levels, providing them with an essential service that enables doctors to perform their duties and ultimately patient care.
The post holder will be responsible for the administration of all elements of rotas such as logging sickness, allocation of shift and supporting departments to fill gaps where needed.

To become the rota administrator for the Doctors/Dentists electronic rostering system.
To provide efficient administration support to the Medical Rostering Team and any roster related meetings, which may include; agenda building, minute taking and production of action notes.
Work closely with our operational service lines, including Clinical Leads, Doctors/Dentists and corporate services to effectively embed the system and its processes across the Trust.
Use feedback and audit information to assist in improve quality.
Ensure that the roster system is effectively monitored and issues reported to management appropriately.
Liaise and work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that information is submitted for reports to meet trust deadlines where required.
To support the Medical Rostering Team by providing a comprehensive and effective administration service using own initiative and an innovative approach.
