Endoscopy Booking Supervisor (Secondment 12 months), Band 4

Job summary
The post-holder will supervise the provision of an efficient Endoscopy Booking Team and expected to manage a team of staff. The role will ensure appropriate support to the booking team ensuring the right task is undertaken by the right resource along with appropriate training. The post holder supports the Waiting List Manager and the general management team in the delivery of two week wait targets, RTT waiting times and diagnostic targets for Endoscopy. This will include administration support to enable provision of patient care. Good communication with patients, relatives, general practitioners and other hospital staff is essential to ensure a proficient, high quality service for patients and clinicians. The post-holder will be expected to share the supervision of the booking with the other Band 4 and cover where required.
Additional working pattern details: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
Main duties of the job
- Line manage staff and take lead role in their training.
- Manage all HR aspects of role.
- Regular meetings to cascade information.
- Monitor the accuracy of work produced from within the booking team. Ensure that EMS and Trak are maintained accurately.
- Ensuring that lists are back-filled where appropriate.
- Ensure that specialty rules are understood by the booking team.
- Liaise with appropriate departments to ensure that any new services introduced run smoothly and efficiently.
- Support the resolution of complaints.
