 Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a large DGH which was recently ranked 17th amongst England's Acute NHS Trusts. The post has arisen as the Trust want to expand its radiology offering.
 Experience in general cross-sectional imaging and acute radiology are essential. We are seeking colleagues who will enhance and complementour established team of 34 radiologists, offering a wide range of specialist and general reporting and intervention. Interests in Thoracic, Urology,MSK, and Paediatric imaging would be of particular value. However, we would seriously consider other subspecialty interests in linewith the Trust's needs.
  Main duties of the job
    - To consult within the specialty of Radiology. This will include reporting and advising on imaging including CT, MRI and plain film.
- To participate in an MDT of the applicants subspecialty interest.
- If appropriate to the applicants subspecialty, to offer 'hands on' sessions e.g. US and fluoroscopy.
- To participate in an acute Radiology service (vetting and reporting) for an average of 4 hours per week during normal working hours.
- To participate in extended radiology working on weekday evenings until 20:00 and at weekends 08:30 to17:30 as required.
- To be on an emergency rota for exceptionally rare out of hours IT emergencies when the connection to our outsourcing company isunavailable.
- To engage in Registrar training (9 trainees from the Severn Deanery rotate through the department every six months).
