Additional working pattern details: 22.5hrs over 3 days including a Wednesday
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to work across both hospitals, assessing adult patients working as part of the multidisciplinary nutrition support team. The role includes, but is not limited to:
Assessment of, and clinical management planning for adult inpatients referred for parenteral nutrition
Ongoing assessment and monitoring for inpatients receiving parenteral nutrition
Monitoring the management of central venous catheters (CVC) used for parenteral nutrition
Being a source of knowledge to advise on CVC choice, CVC management for patient cohort
including trouble-shooting CVC issues
Joint outpatient follow-up clinics with other members of the NST MDT
Liaising with primary care, secondary care and tertiary intestinal failure centres regarding
the management of mutual patients
Assessments of outpatients over the phone that may need fluid and electrolyte replacement, organising blood tests and planning IV fluids/electrolytes in day units.

We're looking for an approachable, enthusiastic Nurse who brings energy, compassion to their work. You'll already have advanced practice or clinical specialist experience and be confident managing central venous catheters. A Master's-level study in advanced practice is essential, while independent or non-medical prescribing is desirable.
