Job summary
We are pleased to offer a 12 secondment opportunity as a Practice Education Facilitator. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Workforce and Education team, providing expert advice, knowledge, and guidance, supporting clinicians and nursing students with the provision of high quality clinical placements.
The Practice Education Facilitator will be a visible role model and work collaboratively with the nursing teams and academic institutions to effectively influence and support colleagues and learners in many nursing roles e.g. Student Nursing Associate Apprentices, (SNA's), Pre-Registration Student nursing and future Nursing Associates/Registered Nurses.
Main duties of the job
The Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) will work collaboratively with the operational/ward teams, practice supervisors and assessors, learners and academic institution colleagues to enable effective practice learning. This will be in a learning environment which encourages and nurtures learners to succeed in their academic programmes and choose Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as their employer of choice. As the educational landscape changes for NHS professions, this role will look specifically at further implementing the CLiP coaching model within the clinical areas as well as increasing the number of nursing student placements available in GHFT, whilst ensuring a high-quality positive student experience.
The PEF will work collaboratively with the operational/ward teams, learners and academic institutions to effectively influence the delivery of effective high quality, safe patient centred learning placements for those undertaking student nursing programmes. This includes, but is not limited to, Apprentice Health Care Support Workers, Health Care Support Workers, Student Nursing Associates (SNA's), Pre-registration Nurses (Student Nurses), and future Nursing Associates/Registered Nurses.
