Trauma Triage Co-ordinator, Band 3 (20 hours a week)- Maternity Cover
The T&O trauma triage coordinator will include the booking of patients to fracture clinic appointments using a referral system from minor injury units and GPs across Gloucestershire.
You will be proactive in managing targets for individual patients and making sure national standards are not breached. You will need to contact patients to arrange appointments within the timescale vetted by our consultants.
This role will involve working closely with our T&O team within the Central Booking office
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will provide an effective support service for a designated group of Managers, consultants and their patients, you will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to meet targets and deadlines. You will need to be able to work under pressure whilst making decisions for the service. Appropriate experience working within the NHS with experience of working in a team. Appropriate experience working within admissions / booking / patient access or a similar role with experience of TrakCare. Appropriate previous experience of utilizing a range of interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication ECDL or equivalent.

Trauma & Orthopaedics is a large specialty with 28 Consultant Surgeons who between them treat emergency (Trauma) patients at Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General Hospitals.
