Job summary
The Clinical Lead role exists to assist the Trust Executives with responsibility for EOL care in leading the development and delivery of EOL Care within the Trust and the cross-county strategic development in collaboration with Integrated Care System colleagues. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of EOL care within the Trust's financial, workforce, operational targets and strategic objectives.

Clinical harm reviews and complaint response
Current and future National quality indicators
They will also be responsible for:
Developing 1, 3 and 5 year strategy plans including the EOL Improvement Plan which is due for review and refresh in 2024
Supporting the Governance/audit including:
Leading the National Audit of Care at the End of Life within the Trust
Act as Deputy Chair of the Trust End of Life Delivery Group
Oversight of the EOL Dashboard
Providing End of life Care representation at Trust Mortality Group
Supporting and developing EOL care related education and training
Interface with the Trust's procurement, audit and management departments
Contributing to external reviews and Regulators - EOL care is a CQC Core Service
Contribute to systemwide work around flow and discharge, including those patients wishing to go home to die
