Job summary
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, effective and motivated leader, with proven operational and relevant clinical experience, for our Therapy Outpatient service across our two sites at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will be expected to deputise for the Heads of Outpatients and MSK Advanced Practitioner Service (APS) to drive forward the Outpatient services to meet the changing demands of the health economy, in line with BEST MSK Health and value based healthcare. You will work collaboratively with the outpatient clinical leads on the organisation, delivery and strategic planning of outpatient therapy services. You will be able to support the delivery of timely, safe and effective services in line with local and national guidelines and targets, across the MSK pathway.
You will have operational management experience with skills to lead change and forge strong relationships within the Acute Trust and across the healthcare community. You will have experience of personnel processes and be able to manage, review and evaluate existing services to ensure that provision is equitable across the service.
Main duties of the job
To work collaboratively to organise, deliver and strategically plan outpatient therapy services across Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital.
To work collaboratively with the members of the Therapy Leadership team to deliver an Integrated Therapy (Physiotherapy/ Occupational therapy) service.
To provide operational management for the outpatient therapy staff, in order to deliver a high-quality service to patients.
To provide professional leadership and accountability for outpatient staff.
To take the lead with the Heads of Outpatients and MSK APS for clinical governance, service change, quality improvement and development.
To maintain a relevant, specialist clinical caseload in MSK Outpatients/MSK APS.
