Job summary

The role of the Senior Communications and Engagement Specialist is to lead on the development, implementation and evaluation of communications and engagement strategies in support of the organisations' objectives. The role will be split equally between Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and NHS Gloucestershire Managed Services, a wholly owned subsidiary company of the Trust.

Main duties of the job

You will have experience in establishing and delivering impactful communications programmes (internal and external) across complex organisations and will take responsibility for the day to day management of channels/communications programmes including content production.

As a specialist in the field you will work closely with our service leads, technicians and clinicians to advise and support them to engage with our workforce to improve how we provide our services. The role requires an understanding of engagement theory and proven record in delivering innovative internal and external programmes using engagement tools and approaches.

As well as a sound understanding of reputation management you will also have professional experience and proven abilities across digital communications, public and media relations and brand communications. The role also requires skills in project management, event management and stakeholder engagement.
