Main duties of the job
Clinical responsibilities:On call for general medicine is a full-shift rota with split weekday and weekend day and night shifts.The incumbent is expected to look after patients on the respiratory ward and outlying wards and provide respiratory input to other specialities under consultant supervision. The appointee is expected to supervise more junior members of the team. Trainees are expected to complete Mandatory training and other requirements specified in the curriculum. Trainees are expected to maintain prompt and accurate communication with general practitioners about patients seen in wards and outpatients.

- MSc involving time taken from standard five year undergraduate medical curriculum

Knowledge/skills

- knowledge of evidence-based practise
- Broad based range of IT skills
- Excellent presentation skills
