Job summary

How can we attract the best talent and highest quality candidates to our Trust? This is the question you will solve for Gloucester Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust if successful in gaining this role. You will lead in developing solutions that allow our organisation to attract, develop and retain talented individuals. Working with the Assistant Director for resourcing, your work will be an essential element of the delivery of a robust recruitment plan for the organisation.

This new role will be responsible for developing and delivering the Trust's Attraction Strategy. Bringing a wealth of recruitment marketing experience, using creativity and passion, to deliver the best possible recruitment brand for the Trust and ensure we are working at the cutting edge of recruitment practice.

The role will also be expected to work with colleagues from the wider People & OD team, as well as key stakeholders inside the Trust to deliver employer brand initiatives and campaigns.

Main duties of the job

The role will also lead on developing our internal communication and listening channels, improving how we shape information to the needs of all service users. Additionally, the role will lead on helping blend digital and traditional approaches to improve both hiring manager and colleague experience throughout the recruitment process.

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery and management of resourcing development projects and manage development initiatives across the Trust ensuring they are delivered within agreed objectives, targets, quality standards and cost constraints.

The post holder will support the Assistant Director of Resourcing in improving efficiencies through innovation, contributing to the development and growth of the service and creation as a centre of excellence for recruitment and resourcing. The post holder will play a key role in supporting strategic service development and commercial growth.

  • Engage, develop, plan and deliver a robust attraction strategy, drawing on a refreshed recruitment brand, social media, events and articles
  • Develop a social media presence and approach, training team members and actin as the expert
  • Maintain the recruitment intranet and internet pages, ensuring they are attracting staff to apply
  • Develop a series of staff stories to use in advertising and media to improve attraction to Gloucestershire Hospitals roles
  • Share cutting edge recruitment and attraction developments with the team to ensure we are maximizing opportunities
  • Ensure that all adverts and advertising material are written in the best way to promote the Trust and attract more people to apply
  • Design and set up manager user groups to engage managers in the recruitment and attraction processes, seek feedback and share updates and developments
  • Design and deliver new joiner experience surveys and focus groups to learn from recruitment and onboarding experiences to celebrate success and inform improvements

Recruitment Expertise

  • Adopt strong communication skills, ensuring recruitment leads are kept up to date on progress and that roles and responsibilities during any recruitment process is clear from the outset
  • Design and deliver complex attraction campaigns to ensure optimum resourcing and support the delivery of Trust objectives and current operational plans
  • Provide timely data and information on the progress of recruitment plans including tracking deployment, onboarding, time to hire and other KPIs
  • Develop policies and technical procedures which have an impact across the Trust and provide highly specialist resourcing advice and share industry knowledge, skills and expertise.
