Main duties of the job

Our Audiology department has recently launched a new clinical structure and has undergone an exciting service transformation. With a focus on establishing robust governance processes alongside modernising patient pathways and introducing innovative approaches to improve patient care, the service is committed to providing the highest quality audiology service. We are now seeking a motivated and forward-thinking senior clinician to join our dynamic team and contribute to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

We are seeking two motivated and forward-thinking Service leads to be part of the Audiology senior clinical team. Following a recent service review and the development of a new clinical structure, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of audiological care across Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumbria. Embedded in solid governance. the service aims to ensure that patients receive the highest quality, evidence - based hearing and balance services.

These two posts will provide senior leadership to the adult and paediatric services and will play a key role in supporting the Head of service in the delivery of our adult and paediatric services

Qualifications & Education

Essential

  • BSc or equivalent in Audiology
  • Post-graduate qualification to Masters' level (MSc in Audiology, M level qualification or equivalent)
  • Registered with either the AHCS as an Audiologist, or HCPC as a Clinical Scientist
  • Management or leadership qualification or evidence of equivalent level CPD in this area
  • Evidence of appropriate continuous professional and personal development

Knowledge & Experience

  • Significant experience in relevant areas of audiological assessment and management of adults / children of all ages
  • Significant post registration experience in a senior audiologist role with evidence of management of complex caseloads and continuous service improvement
