The Great North Children's Hospital is looking to recruit a number of enthusiastic, caring and committed Health Care Assistants to join our outstanding workforce across both inpatient, outpatient and day case areas. We want our Children and Young People to receive the best possible care, and the right candidate will need to be passionate, caring and proactive. The successful candidates will be supported by an established Multidisciplinary team within the framework of a dynamic Children's Hospital. You will be responsible in ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of clinical work when carrying out observations and procedures. Observations include heights, weights, blood pressures, blood sugars, and urine analysis. A desirable requirement for this role is to have venepuncture skills, but this is not essential as you will be offered training if successful. You will also be responsible for ordering supplies and equipment for the department or ward area.
