Job summary
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious dermatologist to join our well-established and supportive Mohs and dermatological surgery team at the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI), Newcastle.
Applications are invited for a full-time, one-year fellowship post, commencing August 2026, for dermatologists seeking advanced specialist training in Mohs micrographic surgery, dermatological surgery and cutaneous oncology. Applicants may be substantive dermatologists, trainees within six months of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or immediately post-CCT.
Main duties of the job
This fellowship provides comprehensive training across a broad range of dermatological surgical procedures, with a strong emphasis on the management of skin cancer. On completion of the programme, fellows are expected to have developed the skills of a dermatologist with a special interest in cutaneous surgery and cutaneous oncology, including:o Mohs micrographic surgeryo Surgical reconstruction following skin cancer excisiono Scar revisiono Dermatological applications of laser technology
