Main duties of the job

You would be responsible for delivering a mixture of outpatient and inpatient work, both independently and as part of the highly specialist MDT. You would work with patients to prepare them for surgery (pre-hab) as well as delivering Enhanced Recovery After Surgery, and where appropriate, post-op outpatient care. We have access to hydrotherapy and a small gym on site at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. There will be time protected for service and personal development, in line with AHP Job Planning, and access to appropriate CPD. It is expected that audit is embedded within the role and that clinical effectiveness and quality improvement is core to this. The role is supported by 2 ESP's specialising in Spinal conditions and you would also work very closely with specialist neurosurgical therapy teams who are based on the ward. The working pattern is Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday in order to meet the needs of the service.
