Job summary

We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our well integrated team.

The post would optimally suit trainees who are considering a future in paediatric medicine and want to explore this as an area of specialisation. Applicants must have completed Foundation training. The post will provide a solid basis from which to apply for an ST post.

There are two posts available - 4 March 2026 for 12 months, and 4 March 2026 until 1 September 2026.

The individual will be expected to perform duties and take clinical responsibilities of ST1-2. Candidates must possess full GMC registration with a license to practise at time of application. Previous paid NHS experience is essential (this does not include clinical observerships or attachments).

Main duties of the job

The successful individual will be expected to perform duties and take clinical responsibilities of ST1-2. The post will provide a solid basis from which to apply for an ST post. The role will be based at the Great North Children's Hospital.
