Job summary
Due to internal promotion, we are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Cardiothoracic Services team based at Freeman Hospital. The clinical board of Cardiothoracic Services provides specialist treatment for all types of cardiac and respiratory related conditions in adults and children, including interventional and medical cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, cardiac critical care, transplant and ventricular assist devices (VADs). This post, leading and developing the clinical pharmacy service within adult services, is a fantastic opportunity.

Main duties of the job
- Leading and strategically developing the clinical pharmacy service to Adult Cardiothoracic Services across the Trust.
- Clinical pharmacy provision to adult cardiac and respiratory wards/areas.
- Liaison with the board regarding the safe and effective use of medicines, including audit, cost-improvement plans and governance, including guideline production.
- Training, support and supervision of junior staff, both in pharmacy and within the directorate.
- Management of junior members of the board pharmacy team.
