You will be enrolled with a local education provider and will be required to complete your Level 3 Apprenticeship Programme within the duration of the placement. This opportunity will provide you with valuable experience and offer a strong foundation for a career within the NHS.
The ENT Department has a vacancy for an apprentice Clinical Administrator and the successful applicant will follow an Advanced Apprenticeship for 18 months and be paid a band 2 wage. On successful completion, the apprentice will automatically transfer into the permanent Band 3 post of 37.5 hour per week. Throughout the apprenticeship the post holder will gain experience working in the Team within the ENT Department.
The successful candidate will develop the required skills to assist in the day to day operation of the section ensuring the delivery of a consistently high quality service to the Trust and support the provision of an efficient secretarial support service to Consultants, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff within their team, i.e. Specialist Nurses.

Main duties of the job
Duties will include audio typing of letters and documents, deal with telephone enquiries, communicates with patients regarding appointments and admissions at the request of the medical staff.
Applicants must have 4 GCSE's to include English and Maths at grade 4 or equivalent, a business administration level 2 NVQ or equivalent experience, good communication skills both written, verbal, telephone skills and able to work well as part of a team.

- Throughout the apprenticeship the post holder will gain experience working in the Team within the ENT Department.
- The successful candidate will develop the required skills to assist in the day-to-day operation of the section ensuring the delivery of a consistently high-quality service to the Trust.

- Provide original evidence of required English and maths qualifications.
