Job summary

We are looking for two enthusiastic, highly motivated and forward thinking individuals to undertake the role of Outpatients Clerk Receptionist within the ENT/Audiology Department at the Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundations Trust. There is a full time role and a 22.5 hour role. This administrative role is based in the Freeman Hospital. The successful candidate will provide an effective and efficient administrative service across the organisation ensuring that a high quality of customer care is delivered.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, flexibility, reliability and must have an organised approach to work. The position provides the opportunity to work within a very supportive and welcoming team and to further develop existing knowledge and skills. Candidates are required to have good literacy and numeracy skills, NVQ Level 2 in appropriate subject (or on pathway) or equivalent qualification / experience, ability to communicate with members of the public, all staff and health care providers and be courteous, respectful and helpful. They are required to work effectively as part of the multi disciplinary team.
