Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 3 Rehabilitation Assistant to provide Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy intervention to patients within the Medicine team including older peoples medicine
Experience of both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy is beneficial as the successful candidate will be working closely with qualified staff from each profession.
We are looking for a well-motivated individual who has excellent communication skills. You should be passionate about maximising quality of life, preventing deconditioning, promoting wellbeing and enabling people to maintain functional independence.
Training and support will be provided and the successful individual will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team.
Post 1: Permanent, Full Time - 37 hours 30 minutes/week
Post 2: Permanent, Part Time - 22 hours 30 minutes/week

- Have experience working with patients with both a physical and cognitive decrease of function
- Have an good understanding of the role of the occupational therapist and physiotherapist within an acute hospital setting
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
