Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Podiatry Department for a Band 2 Clerical Officer, providing administrative support across Newcastle Podiatry clinical sites. We would consider full and part time for this position.
This is a varied role within the admin team supporting our clinical teams with admin duties to ensure the smooth running of our clinics to enable seamless delivery of care.
We are looking for a dynamic person with multitasking skills, excellent communication and an interest in administrative procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience of using Microsoft office and a keen willingness to learn other electronic systems that our department use, namely System one.
This post would suit a candidate with some office experience, with a desire to further their administrative skills within a health care provider environment.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide various admin and clerical support to admin and clinical colleagues in the Podiatry Department.
A large part of this role will be supporting our patient incoming line, answering patient queries regarding appointments, assisting patients with telephone enquiries, together with booking and confirming of appointments via our electronic patient record System one, registering referrals to System one and other varied administrative tasks.
Booking of Ambulance clinic appointments, scanning consent forms and supporting the preparation of clinical supply deliveries, ensuring they reach their designated clinical sites.
This post is part of a wider admin team with excellent team work ethic, providing a good network of support for the post holder on a daily basis.
