Job summary

An incredible, exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, enthusiastic, highly motivated Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to lead, manage Ward 33within the Northern Centre for Cancer Care based at the Freeman Hospital.

The post is a permanent full time post.

Ward 33 is a 17 bedded unit catering for the needs of bone marrow transplant patients as well as other haematological malignant disorders.

The inpatient unit is one of three inpatient areas within the Northern Centre for Cancer Care and recently achieved a silver rating through the Accreditation programme.

We are looking for an individual with drive, enthusiasm and skills at a senior nursing level.

Main duties of the job

As Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for the leadership, management and development of the ward.

You will be supporting the nursing team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate specialist nursing care giving, working in collaboration with other members of the MDT andproviding assurance to the Matron and Senior Management Team that the highest standards of care are delivered and maintained.
