Job summary
The Psychology in Healthcare department is undergoing a period of growth and as such we are looking to recruit a highly motivated and organised administrator for our hub at Arthurs Hill. Our service has a main base at the Royal Victoria Infirmary with satellite bases at Freeman Hospital, Molineux Health Centre and Arthurs Hill Clinic.

Main duties of the job
As Clinical Administrator you will be responsible for providing administration and secretarial support to Clinical Psychologists and staff across Psychology in Healthcare. Working within a team of secretaries you will provide a first point of contact service to patients via telephone and email. You will also contact patients to schedule outpatient appointments at the request of clinical staff.
Advanced keyboard skills ensuring accuracy and speed are essential as you will be responsible for time sensitive entry of referral and appointment information into the patient record and departmental databases. You will work with the Service Lead to support patient flow along the referral pathway and highlight any areas of concern.
Clear knowledge and understanding of patient confidentiality is vital as you will deal with sensitive and personal information during the course of your duties. You will have clear and effective communication skills and demonstrate kindness, empathy and compassion to patients, colleagues and staff.
