Job summary
Due to the promotion of the previous post holder, a vacancy has arisen for an experienced clinical pharmacist with management experience to lead our Medicine pharmacy team and develop clinical services.
We are looking for someone with vision, who can engage with and influence a range of different leaders and healthcare professionals including medical, nursing and pharmacy staff. Working closely with senior leaders in the Medicine and Emergency clinical board and the pharmacy leadership team, you will be expected to deliver operational and strategic priorities, such as delivering cost savings, reducing length of stay and improving patient safety.

Main duties of the job
Key aspects of this role include:
- Deliver and develop clinical pharmacy services to the clinical board
- Provide strategic leadership to deliver quality, safety and cost improvements across the clinical board
- Work closely with the clinical board and pharmacy leadership teams
- Manage the clinical board clinical pharmacy team
- Network regionally and nationally to develop and share best practice
- Provide regular teaching to pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals
- Contribute to clinical research and coordinate regular audits and quality improvement projects
- Work as a senior lead clinical pharmacist targeting patients most in need of clinical review
- Contribute to pharmacy operational duties, such as evening, weekend and bank holiday working
