This is an exciting opportunity, which will involve setting up and establishing a new Physiotherapy service to patients with Intestinal Failure.
The postholder will work closely with the Intestinal Failure MDT, and therapy services colleagues to ensure best quality of care is delivered to this challenging patient group.
This post would be suitable for an existing Band 7 wanting to specialise in this clinical area, or a Band 6 who is keen to develop with experience in managing patients with complex rehabilitation needs, and a proven track record of delivering service improvement.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will be responsible for setting up and establishing the Physiotherapy service to a new 15 bedded Intestinal Failure unit at the Freeman Hospital. The specialist multi-disciplinary team will consist of AHP, nursing and medical colleagues who will work cohesively to coordinate care to this patient group.
As well as delivering optimal rehabilitation to the in-patient ward, there is likely to be an element of outpatient clinic work.
The postholder will be supported by Physiotherapy Operational Lead, as well as having peer support from the Physiotherapy Surgical Team Lead.
An AHP Band 4 Practitioner will work alongside the postholder, shared between Physiotherapy, OT and Dietetics.
