We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and flexible Paediatric Physiotherapist with experience in paediatric respiratory to join the Paediatric long term respiratory physio service.
This is an exciting opportunity for a full time Band 7 Paediatric Physiotherapist working into Paediatric Respiratory within the Acute Paediatric Physiotherapy team. Candidates should have extensive paediatric physiotherapy experience and knowledge.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as the clinical lead providing highly specialised physiotherapy care within the paediatric long term respiratory service based at the Great North Children's Hospital. They will work as part of a team to deliver care to complex respiratory patients (including cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis) as inpatients, outpatients, on home visits and in clinics.

oTo be an active member of the appropriate speciality MDTs within the directorate and wider Trust
oTo be responsible for own continued professional development and assist CPD of other members of the physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams
oTo be part of the emergency duty on-call and weekend rota and be to be available in an advisory capacity for on-call physiotherapists out of hours, when required.

- Involvement with the relevant CSP Clinical Special Interest Group e.g., APCP
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Highly specialist knowledge of medical conditions relevant to the speciality and their impact on patient's functional abilities.
- Highly specialist knowledge of the physiotherapy process and its application with the client group in the speciality
- Extensive NHS post-grad experience including considerable experience as a senior physiotherapist within a paediatric setting preferably as part of a Band 6 rotation.
- Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and working with families
- Experience of teaching and delivering presentations.

- Knowledge of undertaking research projects
- Knowledge of current NHS initiatives e.g., National Service Frameworks, Improving Working Lives
- Previous experience at Band 7 grade
- Experience of carrying out audit projects
