The set up and delivery of trials is supported by around 400 members of staff who are part of the Clinical Research Directorate. The Renal Research team is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Research Nurse.

Main duties of the job
We seek a motivated, enthusiastic and flexible candidate to join the Renal Research Team at the Freeman Hospital. This is a clinical patient facing post, which requires a dynamic individual who can work both independently and as part of a team.
A full programme of induction and ongoing support will be provided to the successful candidate who will have the opportunity to facilitate the delivery of research studies within the Renal specialty.
An overview of the Research Nurse role:
The successful candidate will take lead on a varied portfolio of studies ensuring they are conducted in line with research protocols and Good Clinical Practice. This will include screening, recruitment and follow up of research participants. The research nurse will be responsible for carrying out all research activities, such as; clinical measurements, venepuncture, administering the study intervention, sample processing, data management and safety reporting.
