Responsible for the direct supervision of skilled Estates craftsperson's, Semi- skilled, grounds staff and planning and coordination of planned preventative and reactive building maintenance duties, minor and major refurbishment works and manufacturing as required across all Trust Properties and other areas of responsibility.

Main duties of the job
- Undertake condition surveys and inspections, maintenance, and repair in relation to the building fabric decorative surfaces.
- Assist information and implementation of planned redecoration programme for Trust assets.
- Assist the Estates Building Officers to develop and maintain the departments Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive tasks.
- Assist the department with Risk assessment, assess and recommend relevant training course to ensure all trade operatives carryout tasks under safe environment
- To ensure that all PPMs are complaint to current mandatory & statutory legislation and up to date with new assets as they come online
- Comfortable using MS offices software to produce report, collect data etc. Embrace with new technology, trust digital transformation, new IT equipment and IT related skills

Job responsibilities
- Responsible for the direct supervision of skilled craftspersons and planning and coordination of planned preventative and reactive building maintenance duties, minor and major refurbishment works and manufacturing as required across all Trust Properties and other areas of responsibility. Works to include:
- Statutory inspection, maintenance and repair of fire resistingdoor sets and upgrade when necessary.
- Design, manufacture and installation of bespoke furniture andequipment (e.g. panelling for patient dialysis etc.).
- Maintenance and repair of fixtures, fittings and equipment.
- Locksmith duties e.g. Installation and repair/reconditioning ofdoor locks and furniture (Inc. specialist hardware such as digitallocks, control drugs locks etc.), controlled access and keycutting.
- Window repairs including replacement glazing.
- Interpretation of technical drawings, measuring and setting outon site.
- Installation of partition walls, ceilings and decorative mouldingswhich includes installation of approved fire stopping detailswhere appropriate
- Monitoring the performance of maintenance teams, identifying performance targets and providing regular reports on performance which identifies areas of improvement.
- Day to day management of software used by the maintenance compliancefunction. Ensure that all risks are identified, addressed and mitigated or notified appropriately. Identify and deliver cost opportunities and service efficiencies that may improve the organisations operations.
- Undertake condition surveys and communicate findings and recommendations.
- Scrutiny and processing of mandatory documentation associated with specific work tasks i.e. Fire Door and Window PPMs, Condition Surveys etc. ensuring integration with the Directorates choses Computer Aided Facilities Management Systems (CAFM).

- Recognised Trade Apprenticeship (e.g. City and Guilds, NVQ 3 + experience plus intermediate level knowledge)
- Qualified to HNC (or equivalent) in an estates (building) related subject or equivalent, comprehensive post apprenticeship experience
Desirable
- Specialist Qualification/Training for the installation and maintenance of fire doors and/or installation of approved fire stopping details (Q-Mark, FDIS, FIRAS etc)
- Certificate of Supervisory Management or equivalent
- Current Driving Licence
