Following significant new investment from the Trust, expansion of our medical and specialist nursing team is currently in progress.
This post will include responsibility for patients across a broad spectrum of rheumatology. This will include being part of our Inflammatory Arthritis Service, including the National Early Inflammatory Arthritis Audit and opportunity to join our Spondyloarthritis team. The successful applicant will be responsible for a mixed caseload of both new patients and inheritance of some existing follow up patients. The role will include involvement in our regular multidisciplinary team meetings, supporting our specialised commissioned services and regional advice provision.
Main duties of the job
We have a busy dedicated musculoskeletal outpatient department (including Xray and DEXA facilities), a day case unit and in patient beds.
In addition to the clinical role, we can offer you a commitment to teaching, education, research and audit. We are keen to support applicants who now or in the future wish to develop an interest in medical education.
The post includes contribution to the low frequency rheumatology on-call service for speciality referrals only and management of a small number of in patients.
