Job summary

An opportunity has arisen within the Catering Department at The Freeman Hospital for a Full Time Catering Assistant to work as a part of our team working in the Freeman Catering Department, as a part of the team you will also be responsible for the cleanliness of the department in line with food hygiene regulations and trust policies.

Working on a 3 week roster, 5 days over 7

Shift times you will be working 07.00 to 15. 00 and 11.30 to 19.30

Main duties of the job

  • Cleaning of the equipment within the department.
  • Working on the patient belt, placing food on the plate to ensure patient gets the food they require.
  • Working mainly in the pan wash area of the kitchen
  • Filling in of departmental paper work.
  • General cleaning duties within the department.
  • At all times following food hygiene and trust policy regulations.
  • please note this role requires a lot of moving and handling
