Main duties of the job
Assist in the day to day management of Cleaning, Laundry and Domestic service teams to ensure consistent delivery
Support staff training, development and overall performance
To support the Hotel Services Manager and deputise in their absence
To ensure support for managing change and implementing the Trust core values
Assist in motivating and leading a large diverse team
Participate with all recruitment and selection within the Department

Job responsibilities
- To provide support to the Hotel Services Manager and to deputise in her/his absence as necessary over the full range of duties.
- To work as a member of the Senior Management Team within Facilities.
- Responsible for the management of staff and resources required to meet the needs of the service and to ensure services are delivered to the highest standards possible within the resources allocated.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process.
- To manage changing room facilities in line with Trust policy.
- Assist in motivating and leading a large workforce.
- Support the delivery of a quality Hotel Services in the Trust, ensuring service standards is maintained.
- To support the management team in implementing/managing changes.
- To ensure the effective and efficient allocation of resources as required.
- To ensure sufficient provision of quality linen is supplied to the end user.
- To ensure the statutory requirements of the Health Act 2006 are adhered to within the individuals own responsibilities.
Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
