Job summary
We have two fixed-term opportunities for an enthusiastic scientist to contribute to patient care and project delivery in Northern Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering. One role will support our visual electrodiagnostics service with diagnostic patient testing and clinical reporting by providing backfill for a member of staff pursuing and academic fellowship. Both successful post holders will contribute to projects evaluating the evidence and performance of medical devices and technologies, in particular whether a stereoscopic camera can reliably quantify anatomical deformities. Successful applicants will have excellent interpersonal skills and be keen to work with a range of people including patients, consultants, scientists and technologists. An analytical mindset, experience handling complex datasets, an empathetic connection with patients and a thirst to learn are essential for these roles.
As these roles are broad, we understand that applicants may not have knowledge and experience in all aspects. We can provide training for the right candidates where required. We would consider applications for part-time working.
