We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our well integrated team within the Department of Ophthalmology, in the post of Senior Oculoplastic Fellow (Trust doctor in ophthalmology ST7+ Equivalent).
The Oculoplastic service is run by 5 consultants: Mr Barnes, Miss Clarke, Mr Narayanan, Mr Meredith & Miss Rana-Rahman who all have specialist clinics and multidisciplinary clinics at the RVI. The subspecialty work is divided further between the subspecialty interests of Lacrimal, Orbits, & Sockets.
Main duties of the job
This post is aimed at post CCST trainees (ST7+) who have already demonstrated a significant interest in oculoplastics and are looking to further their surgical and clinical management skills including subspecialty experience to the level of an NHS consultant, with the possibility of highly specialised orbital surgical training. There is no on call commitment or banding with this post.

- Primary Medical Qualification.
- Full GMC registration.
Clinical Skills and Knowledge
Essential
- More than 5 years' experience of ophthalmology.
- Previous fellowship or specialist training in oculoplastics with documentation of Oculoplastic experience to CCST level (ST7+)
- Experience in management of general ophthalmology emergency/on call patients
Desirable
