An exciting opportunity has arisen in our busy and dynamic Audiology department. The team are looking to appoint 2 Audiology assistants to support the team in delivering high quality Audiology care.

Main duties of the job
- Liaise with internal and external bodies (e.g. GPs, Consultants and all other heads of department).
- Deal with patients with a disability and first line of contact for patients attending the department.
- Input of details, Patient information into Auditbase systems.
- Assist with hearing aid stock control and basic hearing aid repairs

Job responsibilities
- Contact with patients for hearing aid repairs and ear mould impressions
- Maintaining close contact with patients when examining ears, taking impressions and inserting hearing aids.
- The post holder has to organise their own work load within a very busy department whist ensuring the smooth running of all administration procedures including the processing of ear moulds, ordering and management of stock.
Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
