Job summary
The NSTC is a state of the art training facility specialising in human tissue and anatomical examination. It is expected that the incumbent will be capable of speaking to Senior Clinician and Ancillary Staff alike. The Cadaver Theatre Technician works within a small technical team of 4 staff that work together to plan and prepare for Surgical educational events. This role would suit someone from an Operating Theatre background or someone who is interested in honing skills in anatomical preparation, theatre set-up and procedures. You will have a sense of humour and the ability to think on your feet to problem solve. Full training will be provided. Once established in position the post holder will be required to complete the RSPH Level 2 certificate, Certificate in Mortuary Support .

Uphold the dignity and respect of Human Tissue utilised within the Newcastle Surgical Training Centre (NSTC)
To provide technical support in a theatre environment

- English Language GCSE C or above plus knowledge and relevant technical operating theatre expertise
- RSPH Level 2 certificate, Certificate in Mortuary Support or equivalent level experience and a willingness to work toward qualification within a set period
