Main duties of the job

You will be involved in undertaking pressure measurements, visual fields / visual acuity testing, Pentacam imaging and other clinical techniques essential to the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of ophthalmic disorders. Keen to learn new skills and take on new challenges then this post is for you, full training will be given.

  • To provide visual assessments including but not limited to visual fields, visual acuity, pentacam and intra-ocular pressure (IOP) measurement which provide information for clinical decisions / treatments of eye and neurological conditions.
  • Participate in research and medical audit projects as and when required.
  • To perform administrative and clerical task as necessary for the efficiency of the service.

  • 2 A-Levels at grade C or above or NVQ Level 3 / equivalent experience
