An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the busy dynamic photographic division of the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals Trust. The Medical Photography Department which is based in the Royal Victoria Infirmary provides a wide range of photographic services for the Trust / Outreach Clinics / Newcastle Hospitals at Cramlington.
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, conscientious, motivated and highly organised medical photographer to work effectively in a team of 23 within our busy clinical/ophthalmic photography department. The job may include working evenings and weekends.
Proven experience within a similar environment would be an advantage, although if not qualified then we will take on Trainee Medical Photographer using Annex 21. If Trainee, successful qualification will be required completing Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Photography with Staffordshire University. During this period the trainee will be placed on Annex 21 at 75% of Band 5 for 12 months.
The successful candidate will have a flexible approach and excellent communication/interpersonal skills.

Contributes to the provision of a high quality comprehensive photographic service, without direct supervision.Maintain an up to date Continuous Professional Development (CPD) portfolio to satisfy the requirement of the Health Professions Council and Institute of Medical Illustrators. This is a mandatory requirement to maintain continued State Registration.
