An exciting opportunity has become available to join the team on the Victoria Critical Care Unit at the Royal Victoria Infirmary as a Critical Care Support Assistant.
The post holder will work on a busy critical care unit that specializes in neuro conditions and major trauma injuries.
This role will involve assisting registered nurses and other healthcare practitioners in providing high quality patient care and report any concerns regarding a patients condition to the registered practitioner.
The post holder will be required to work part of an effective multi-disciplinary team contributing to the departmental objectives.

Main duties of the job
Post holder will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other ward / department duties as required, e.g. general tidiness, re-determined stock levels are met and clinical equipment is clean, working and stored correctly.
Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the patients, their families and visitors.
Actively contribute to the provision of nutrition of the patients on the Ward / Department
Will contribute to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness on the department by working under direct supervision of registered practitioners or assistant practitioners.
Will contribute to effective stock control and maintenance and highlight any deficiencies to qualified nurse when appropriate.
